Chapter 33
“I will not tolerate this blatant display of corruption. As a two thousand year old family with a long and storied history, the Mi family commands respect and demands loyalty. From royalty to ministers, and the elite of society, the Mi name is synonymous with prestige and power. If you secretly aspire to become a master, please let me know now, but the land, and the lavish villas belonging to the Mi family will be promptly taken back.” I declared, my voice rising in intensity, resonating with unwavering conviction.
Geez I felt that I was badass enough spouting so much bullshit it was shocking. Heh, but I had too if not these garbage before me would walk over me and turn me into a meat patty and my poor burden for a child might follow suit. Ahhhhh, is anyone else more pitiful than me?
Somebody!
I roared and raged inwardly for a while before speaking further as if nothing happen. “Those who have deliberately wronged this family will be held strictly accountable for their transgressions. Those who have betrayed my trust will face the full and unyielding consequences of their actions.”
I gestured to Curren, who stepped forward with purposeful strides, carrying a thick stack of papers bound together with a silken cord, the Mi family crest embroidered on the knot. He placed them carefully on a small table positioned directly in front of me.
“Here are the records, meticulously documented with painstaking detail and thoroughly verified by independent auditors. They painstakingly detail the missing funds, the unauthorized transactions, the questionable deals, and the blatant cover-ups. I invite anyone who has any relevant information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, to come forward and share it openly. Transparency and unwavering honesty will be generously rewarded, perhaps with a lighter sentence.” I said, my tone slightly softer, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the gathering storm. I was giving them a final opportunity to redeem themselves, to confess their sins and perhaps mitigate the severity of their inevitable punishment.
I looked directly at the elders, my gaze unwavering. “Elders, as keepers of our cherished traditions and guardians of our family’s honor, I expected far better of you. You were entrusted with the hallowed legacy of our ancestors, and you have failed miserably in your solemn duty.”
Their faces flushed crimson with anger and indignation, their hands clenched into fists. One of them, a wizened old man with a sharp tongue and a reputation for being brutally honest, stood up abruptly, his frame trembling with barely suppressed rage.
“Young Miss, how dare you level such unfounded accusations against us? We have faithfully served this family for generations, pouring our hearts and souls into its well-being! We have dedicated our entire lives to preserving its rich heritage and ensuring its continued prosperity!” he exclaimed, his voice trembling with outrage and wounded pride. 8Can I slap this big bitch now?) I really wanted to jump up and slap him so hard his face would swing like a damn door but I have to be zen.
“And how exactly have you served?” I countered, my voice cold and unwavering, each word laced with a sharp, cutting edge. (since i cant beat your bitch ass then listen and feel my displeasure!) “By turning a blind eye to rampant corruption? By enriching yourselves at the expense of others? By betraying the sacred trust that was placed in you by our ancestors?” Shot off everything like a bullet, talking so slow is annoying okay?!
He opened his mouth to vehemently protest my accusations, but I cut him off with a swift and decisive gesture.
“Silence! I have heard enough of your pathetic excuses and self-serving justifications. The overwhelming evidence is crystal clear, and your guilt is undeniable. Your feeble attempts to deny your culpability only serve to further condemn you.” I said, my voice booming through the clearing, silencing all dissent.
I turned my attention to the head of the main branch from the Si family, an older man who was handsome but seemed to always have a look of always being anxious. “And you, head of the Si main branch, you were entrusted as an elder to help the head housekeeper Si with the day to day runnings of the estate. Help, not be in charge. The Mi family is Matriarchal! Yes, we have had males in charge at certain points in our history, but women have always had the last say in matters of importance. Head housekeeper Si is the head of this estate when I am not physically present. The elders come second, not first! These rules have been firmly in place since your arrival and the very founding of the Mi family!” I raised my voice an octave because this man is simply deceitful and I wanted to kick him around like a ball due to his damn nerve. Like really, such an unworthy male dared!
My parents arent dead and he is just taking my things like they were his own.
I watched the epic actor, as he stammered, his words tumbling over each other in his haste to defend himself. “I…I trusted the elders implicitly. I believed that they were acting in the best interests of the family, and I had no reason to suspect otherwise.”
“Blind faith is a dangerous thing,” I replied, shaking my head slowly in disappointment. “Especially when it comes to matters of money, power, and the crucial distinction between who is the master and who is the servant.”
I turned back to the crowd, my expression unwavering. “I understand that some of you may have been pressured into participating in these illicit schemes, coerced by those in positions of authority or intimidated by the potential consequences of defiance. After all, this world is predominantly run by men, and you seem to have been drawn in and fueled by your own grievances. I am willing to offer leniency and reduced penalties to those who come forward immediately and fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation. But those who continue to hide the truth, protect the guilty, or obstruct the pursuit of justice will face the full and unmitigated wrath of my retribution.”
I paused deliberately, letting my words sink in, allowing them to fully grasp the magnitude of what was at stake. “This is not simply about recovering stolen money or rectifying financial discrepancies. It’s about upholding honor, maintaining integrity, and preserving the sacred legacy of this family for generations to come. I will not allow it to be tarnished by greed, corruption, and those who have forgotten their proper place within this intricate social order.”
I turned to Rekuren, my gaze sharp and commanding. “Rekuren, begin the investigation immediately. Gather all the necessary evidence, conduct thorough interviews with all relevant witnesses, and leave no stone unturned in your pursuit of the truth.”
“Yes, Miss Mi,” he replied, stepping forward with unwavering resolve. His eyes gleamed with a cold, unwavering determination.
“And Curren, ensure that everyone fully understands the severe consequences of lying, withholding information, or obstructing the investigation in any way. Remind them of the blood oath they swore to the Mi family.”
“Of course, Miss Mi,” Curren replied with a sinister smile, his eyes glinting with anticipation. This is how males are supposed to be, obedient, unquestionably loyal!
When I wrote these books it was for women to be in charge, for women to have a chance in a world naturally dominated by men.
I have seen how women suffer and I never wish to bow my head to any man who is unworthy.
Anyway, someone who had been forced to be tortured by fifty-one different women in that life and even write it, should I see the worth of a man?
The only worth is my son, even if I fall in love some time, I will never sacrifice my freedom, men tend to fall out of love leaving the wife who wasted her youth, her freedom, her body for that man to say; I have found my true love. (Table flip! Fuck you and your true love. My youth! My life! My once perfect body!)
That. Will. Never. Be. Me!
